This winter-break I had the opportunity to spend three amazing weeks in Jerusalem studying on a Mayanot program. The Mayanot program I attended was an all-girl yeshiva, or as the rabbi there would say: “It is not a religious program, but a Jewish studies program.”

Now, if you would have asked me 3 years ago if I would have even considered going to study at a yeshiva… willingly for 3 weeks, I would have thought you were crazy. I was always that girl in Sunday school never paying attention to what the rabbi was saying and occasionally getting kicked out of the class... (Sorry Rabbi Zev)

But through Chabad on Campus and the Sinai scholar’s program I was exposed to a different view of Judaism that I found... ( Read More » )

19 year-old Cameron Isen, a sophomore in Dartmouth college, was awarded the Jewish Academic Innovation Award this past Sunday, due to his in-depth research paper that used modern, western academia combined with the age-old Jewish academic style of the pilpul to analyze contemporary matters under the light of Jewish tradition. Isen presented a ten-page research paper that analyzed the historic place of secular wisdom in the life... ( Read More » )

aepi.jpgIt was the start of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Annual Convention in August 2012, at the spectacular Arizona Biltmore hotel. With a strong, ten-year relationship between AEPi and Chabad on Campus, we are natural partners, joining together for many events. As liaison between Chabad and AEPi, I have attended dozens of these events.

Over the years I have met thousands of AEPi brothers and I am always impressed by the caliber of their members. Memorably, at the 2012 Convention I met someone special who truly stood out to me. I knew instantly that he would be the one to lead a major breakthrough, making history not only for AEPi but for the entire Greek system.

They say when you meet someone for 30 seconds you can truly distinguish exactly who you... ( Read More » )
